in order to keep you up to date for the EBC inspection season 2023 we would like to summarize a view information’s in this EBC Newsletter.
| | | Our EBC inspection fees raised slightly from 90 EUR/h to 100 EUR/h. | | | The inspections 2023 were assigned to the relevant EBC auditors who will contact you to arrange the annual EBC biochar and C-sink potential inspections (if applicable). Please get prepared with our preparation checklist for inspection. A good preparation helps to conduct an efficient inspection which helps to reduce inspection time and costs. | | | EBC representative sample taking: | | | Please follow the EBC representative sample taking requirements, acc. EBC guidelines, chapter 6.1 «Since 2021, the biochar samples sent to the accredited laboratory for EBC analysis must be taken by an accredited sampler. …»
An eLearning training for assigned sample taker of each EBC operator will be offered by Carbon Standards International (CSI). Sample taker who successfully conducted the eLearning training may take representative samples for new biochar batch certifications by themselves. Required sampling incl. photo records will be checked during annual inspections by our auditors. The login details and further information will be provided by CSI until end of May 2023. Please plan sample taking accordingly with own accredited sample taker or with our accredited Auditor.
| | | EBC C-sink potential inspection: | | | EBC Portal entries and issued C-sink potential certificates will be inspected during annual inspection 2023. Please keep all required documents as described in the preparation checklist ready for C-sink potential inspection.
The validation of data of C-sink potential certificate will be confirmed after validation in your product list, connected with your EBC certificate, issued by bio.inspecta/q.inspecta which is published on www.easy-cert.com. | | | EBC actual versions of guidelines: | | | Please see actual EBC guidelines, last Version 10.3. (updated on 5th April 2023), published on EBC Webpage: | | | EBC inspection and certification will be shifted to CERES-CERT AG: | | | EBC services will e shifted to our sister company CERES-CERT AG- www.ceres-cert.de also based in Switzerland, Frick.
