Technical information Processing and Trade Departement | | New features for the NATRUE label in the new year | | | The NATRUE label has always stood for tested, authentic natural and organic cosmetics that meet the highest standards. Its criteria ensures that products contain only ingredients whose origin and production have been traced and verified. This enables consumers to choose natural products with confidence. | | 2024 was a particularly intense year for the NATRUE label. There were numerous adjustments and further developments, both for raw material manufacturers and end product producers. The NATRUE criteria were expanded with a technical guide and the annexes are continuously updated with newly authorised raw materials (INCI).
| | An important milestone: Since 1 July 2024, only raw materials that either carry the NATRUE label themselves or are specified in the NATRUE technical guidelines may be used for new NATRUE compliant cosmetic products. | | Answers to your questions | | Of course, such changes raise many questions. These were collected by the certification bodies and discussed in dept with NATRUE. The result of this collaboration was published at the end of February 2025 in the technical guide to address all open questions. This guide will be regularly updated and adapted to meet the dynamic challenges of the cosmetics industry. | | We will keep you regularly informed about all innovations and adjustments to the NATRUE criteria and the technical guidelines. As your officially accredited certification body for the NATRUE label, bio.inspecta, we will be happy to assist you at any time. | | | Monika Mönks | Auditor/Certifier NATRUE +41 (0)62 552 10 01 | E-mail | | bio.inspecta AG Rrahmon Hoxha Head of the Processing and Trade Division | E-mail | | bio.inspecta AG Debora Greter Deputy Head Processing and Trade Division | E-mail | |
