Global Tree C-Sink V2.0 – Public Consultation starts on the 15th of July 2025

We are pleased to announce the pre-release of Version 2.0 of the Global Tree C-Sink Standard, marking a significant step forward in our methodology for tree-based carbon removals. This new version reflects the latest developments in high-integrity carbon markets and incorporates updated requirements for project eligibility, monitoring, GHG emissions, C-Stock calculation, and improved guidance for Urban Tree projects.

Public Consultation Period: 15th July – 11th August 2025

Before finalizing and officially releasing Version 2.0, we invite all stakeholders to review and comment on the draft. Your feedback is essential to ensure the standard remains scientifically robust, inclusive, and practical for implementation across diverse project contexts.
