Final Version of Artisan Dry Matter Assessment

Dear Artisan C-Sink Managers,

We would like to sincerely thank everyone who participated in the recent public consultation and submitted comments on the proposed Dry Matter Assessment to the Global Artisan C-Sink Standard.

Your feedback helps ensure that the standard remains scientifically robust and practically applicable. We carefully reviewed the comments received and have amended the methodology accordingly. Please find below the link to our response, as well as the final version of the Dry Matter Assessment.

On 15 June 2026, we will publish further guidance on the operational implementation of the new measurement requirements:

  • An online Academy course on Dry Matter Assessment, which will be assigned to the main contact person of each Artisan C-Sink Manager. Additional access to the Academy upon request. If you would like to add more participants, please contact info@carbon-standards.com where a maximum of three participants per company can be registered.
  • A Guidance Protocol for Local Laboratory.
  • A new Dry Matter Assessment Sampling Form.
  • A new Bulk Upload Template.

The new Dry Matter Assessment requirements will come into force on 15 June 2026, with a three-month grace period.
