Information of new price season 2019 and EU requirement for Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Russian Federation and Moldova

bio.inspecta international team wishes you successful production/business season 2019. It was great to meet some of you in Biofach 2019 and discuss new projects and quality improvements. We are happy to continue or start new collaboration through our professional inspection and certification services in different scopes such as EU Equivalence standard (bi-OS), NOP, Bio Suisse with focus on market and guarantee the quality.

bio.inspecta international department is pleased to inform all of you about reducing the tariff of international services in the price list 2019 with keeping the high quality and professional inspection and certification. Our main goal is to make our services less bureaucratic, practical and less time consuming while the organic integrity is guaranteed.

Through this newsletter we like to present you a summary of latest changes and additional requirements for certain products from certain countries for import to the EU in 2019.

1. In 2019 increased control measures are still necessary for Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Russian Federation. The same concerns Moldova in 2019 as well.

2. Additional control measures will take place for the operators who produce, process, trade or export organic food and feed with the following CN-codes originating from Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Moldova and Russian Federation.
 
 
 
  • a. Chapter 10-Cereals
  • b. Chapter 11-Products of milling industry; malt; starches; inulin; wheat gluten
  • c. Chapter 12-Oil seeds and oleaginous fruits; miscellaneous grains, seeds and fruit; industrial or medicinal plans; straw and fodder (including 12.06- sunflower seeds) with the exception of processed products ready for human consumption derived from them.
  • d. Chapter 23- Residue and waste from the food industries, prepared animal fodder (including 23.06-Oilcake and other solid residues, whether or not ground or in the form of pellets, resulting the extraction of vegetable fats or oils, other that those of heading 2304 or 2305
 
 
 
3. Complete documentation at point of entry
 
 
 
  • a. Certification of inspection (COI)
  • b. Document of custom declaration
  • c. Transport documents
  • d. Operator and products traceability: verification of names, addresses and valid certification of each operator involved, from farm(s) to exporters and all operators in between, including traders
 
 
 
4. Sampling and analysis for presence of pesticide residue and additional control:
 
 
 
  • a. For all consignments as defined in part 3 of this newsletter; at least 1 representative sample shall be taken by bio.inspecta of each export consignment, and the COI be signed only upon having received and assessed the analysis result.
  • b. At least 1 field crop sample will be taken for each operator, or for operators not growing crops, a sample at a relevant step of the process.
  • c. 2 physical inspection per year will be done for each operator.
  • d. One of the inspections will be done unannounced
  • e. Bookkeeping and financial documents for each operator will be controlled
  • f. Sales of products as conventional will be verified, including quantities and names of buyers.
 
 
 
5. The certification of Inspection (COI) only will be issued before the shipment leaves the country of export.
